AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition
This release also introduces the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
