Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
